Women in Agriculture: Please join us for this “day away from the farm” and connect with women who share the same experiences and challenges as you do! UW-Extension will be hosting once again “Heart of the Farm” on Thursday, March 23, 2017, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm at Millhome Supper Club, Kiel. We are excited to bring this agenda to you with women who understand the many hats you wear on a daily basis! Highlights of the meeting include speaker extension educator Steph Plaster on farm communication; Melissa Bender & Scott Gunderson on the new Wisconsin Agricultural Education Center; Cleveland State Bank’s Cari Sabel on finding the perfect recipe for banker relations; Elsie Gonzalez on building a multicultural team; and Cedar Grove Veterinary Clinic’s Dr. Lindley Reilly on what’s new in herd health. Completing our day will be WMMB highlighting the perfect cheese and wine pairings!
Our goal for the day is to provide you support in management and financial decision making, to help you connect with agricultural resources and to create support networks so you don’t have to do it all alone!
The registration fee is $25 per person and includes meals, breaks and materials for the meeting. You can register by returning the registration form to UW-Extension Fond du Lac County, or by calling 920.929.3171 by March 16th. We encourage you to bring employees, friends and family members for this day away from the farm!
