Ozaukee County’s annual 4-H summer camp held at Camp Lakotah in Wautoma is a four-day adventure! 4-H camp challenges members to try new activities, create craft items, and explore nature and have fun at campfires, swimming and theme programs. Members 3rd through 6th grade stay in cabins at Camp Lakotah, eat in the dining hall, and participate in a wide range of activities. 7th through 9th graders participate in outpost adventures such as sleeping in tents or rustic cabins, cooking their own meals, participating in new challenges and developing outdoor skills. Bus transportation is provided to and from the Ozaukee County Fairgrounds. Youth in high school, along with adult leaders from Ozaukee 4-H serve as camp resource staff and cabin counselors. The Camp Lakotah Staff will also provide programming and serve as lifeguards at camp.
Camp will be held June 28-July 1, 2017.
A variety of outdoor activities including swimming, hiking, canoeing, kayaking, recreation, nature study, archery and more will be available. Evening activities will include camper’s choice activities, campfires, and dancing.
The Leaders Association and Ozaukee County 4-H Foundation contribute to offset the expenses related to camp. The cost to families is only $85 per camper for a 4 day/3 night experience. This is an excellent value. Without the contributions of the Leaders Association and Foundation, the cost would be $240 per camper.
Register for summer camp will take place March 1-April 14, 2017 on a first come- first serve basis. A complete application includes online application, 4Honline health form completed, and fees paid. No late applications will be accepted.
