Countywide Dog Project
What you can do in this project:
- Learn the basics of caring for your dog
- Showmanship
- Obedience
- Rally Obedience
- Agility
- Participate in County competitions including obedience and showmanship
- Participate in State competitions including obedience, rally obedience, showmanship, dog quiz bowl, and agility
Grades: Grades 3-13
Cost: Members in the Dog project may participate in a fundraiser to offset the project costs. Members not participating in the fundraiser are assessed a $40.00 fee.
Equipment Needed:
- 6′ leather leash, a choke collar (not a prong) and a show lead
- Sit…Stay…Come…to the Dog Project Meeting!
Project Add Deadline: February 5, 2024
Location: Show Arena at the Ozaukee County Fairgrounds, Cedarburg, WI.
Times: Group 1- 6:30-7:15 pm.; Group 2- 7:30-8:15 pm.
2023-2024 Meeting Dates
The first few weeks, all members should NOT bring their dogs, they will be learning about the required vaccinations for their dog and the required equipment. Please watch for emails as to when you will be bringing your dogs to the meeting.

- Summer Training dates below, the meetings will be held at the Fairgrounds Picnic Gazebo from 6:00-7:30 pm. (Dates subject to change based on State Dog Show)
- June: 3, 10, 17, 24, 2024
- July: 8, 15, 22, 2024
- August: 12, 19, 26, 2024
- September 9, 16, 23, 30, 2024
