What you can do in this project:

  • Learn about different breeds and how to select a rabbit
  • Feeding, care, and handling of rabbits
  • Show a rabbit at the fair

Grades: 3-13

Cost: Cost needed to procure a rabbit (usually $20-$50), cage, and grooming tools

Equipment Needed: Rabbit, cage, feeding, and grooming tools. Project leaders can assist youth in procuring a rabbit.  Youth may begin the project without a rabbit, but should obtain one by March.

Dates: The meetings are held on the third Thursday of each month as scheduled. The meeting time is 7:00pm – 8:15pm. Members can bring their rabbits to the meetings. Meetings will be held in the Show Arena at the Ozaukee County Fair Grounds.

  • July 29, 2017 at 11:00 am  in the Rabbit Barn Topic: Barn Set-Up
  • August 6, 2017 at 6:00 pm in the Rabbit Barn Topic: Barn Take-Down
  • August 17, 2017 from 7-8:15 pm in the Show Arena Topic: Wrap up & Record Book Signing
