WHAT IS A 4-H PROJECT?

A 4-H project is an area of interest that you want to learn more about during the year. The project is where learn-by-doing takes place. Within the project, you will find things to learn, to do, to make, and explore.

4-H members in grade 3 and above must enroll in at least 1 project each year. Members in kindergarten, 1st & 2nd grade may only enroll in the Cloverbud project.  Some projects have specific requirements (including grade level) for youth to enroll.

Each 4-H club will attempt to obtain a Project Leader when there are 3 or more members enrolled in a project. The Project Leader will notify members when and where the project meetings will be held. Most projects will require at least 3 project meetings and often more are held. When there is no Project Leader, the member will be expected to work individually. As a family, you can use the 4-H project literature to guide your learning.

Projects can be offered individually, at the club level, or be available countywide.  The 4-H program in Ozaukee County offers the following countywide projects:
